Welcome to the 2022/23 school year! The members of the Nordhoff Parent Association are excited to meet you. The NPA’s mission is to enrich the lives of students, their families and the community by supporting the growth of academic, athletic, and artistic opportunities at Nordhoff High School. Nordhoff is truly a community school, where incredible programs are funded and supported by parents, families, volunteers, and local service organizations.

Nordhoff Cross Country has a long tradition of athletic and academic excellence. This last year, Nordhoff High School has just finished another very successful year in Cross Country. Coming off of a Citrus Coast League Championship for our Ranger Boys, a runner up for our Ranger Girls and CIF berths for both. This year, our Rangers are looking to make a run deeper into CIF and towards the opportunity to compete in Fresno at the California State Championships. In one of the most physically and mentally toughest sports around, our athletes set the bar high and work diligently to succeed.
As coaches, we make it our goal to teach these athletes how to become successful on and off the running trails. We want them to become contributing members of a community that know value of working hard and giving back. We teach them the importance of setting realistic goals and how to set themselves up to achieve them. We teach them about teamwork, community and giving back. None of this would be possible without the support of businesses like your own! Support PEER WELLNESS
Students will explore mental and behavioral health through a variety of disciplines including reading and writing, history, and science. A primary focus of the course is on self-knowledge and building capacity to serve as campus leaders for mental health awareness and wellness. They will define mental illness, differentiate between myths and truths about mental health, and identify how the anatomy and physiology of the nervous system relate to physical, mental, and emotional health. Students will have the opportunity to assess their own mental and behavioral health status. Students will learn about multiple roles within the healthcare system to inform their understanding of preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental and behavioral illnesses, will debate the ethics of different situations surrounding mental illness, and will look at the system-wide successes and barriers to healthcare on a national and international scale. Students in the Peer Wellness course will be trained in peer mediation skills in service of the student community and in preparation for careers in the mental health and legal professions. Peer Wellness II will be available during the 2022-2023 school year for pathway completion.

The NPA's mission is to enrich the lives of students, their families and the community by supporting The Arts, Academics and Athletics at Nordhoff, as well as enhancing community spirit through volunteering.
During the 2019/20 school year, the Nordhoff Parent Association contributed over $50,000 to pay for Athletic Awards and Tournament Fees, as well as provided grants to the Drama, Dance, and Music departments. The NPA also provided funds to the Peer Tutoring Program, College and Career Center, and computer classes, funded Athletic and Academic Equipment, and Student Appreciation and Scholarship Opportunities.
We also coordinated and resourced two Campus Cleanup Days, donated chairs for the Quad area to promote small group discussions and resourced two Teacher Appreciation events. Volunteers are the heart of our organization - and we are always looking for folks to work the Snack Bar, Spring Showcase, Beautification Day, Grad Night, Graduation, Dances, etc. If you have the time and would like to join us, please email nordhoffhsparentassociation@gmail.com with your contact information. nPA IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE: THE CALCULATOR NEED IS FULFILLED!!!!!!!
We did it! In the first round we were able to purchase 60 scientific and 15 graphing calculators, with a total value of $2,200.
Last week, we were contacted by an angel donor, and thanks to their generosity, we ordered the remaining 47 graphing calculators of $4,300 value. In a couple of weeks we were able to close the technology gap in our science and math classes, thanks to your generous support! We love our Nordhoff community and are proud and excited to serve our students and parents.
